Hey guys, I've looked at Asuka Langley Sohryu's wiki article and I've noticed a few things that are off, mostly in the "Manga" and "Interactions with Shinji" sections like the roles between Asuka and Shinji have been swapped somewhat:
Interactions with Shinji:
However, in the aftermath of the film's finale, Shinji appears on a beach with none other than Asuka. He tries to strangle her; she does not physically resist him,' but instead lifts her hand to stroke his face - incidentally, as Yui had done just moments before. At this she collapses, weeping, onto him, and as the film ends he says, "気持ち悪い。" ("Kimochi warui", translated into English in the subtitles as "pathetic" in the dub).
That can't be right, shouldn't that be Shinji crying? and shouldn't that be Asuka saying "Kimochi warui"? Plus I heard that it's supposed to translate to "How DIsgusting" or "I feel sick", not "pathetic".
Manga:
"However, from here it diverges incredibly. Shinji shouts that the Asuka he wants isn't the girl lying before him and Asuka seems to awaken from her coma and is temporarily strangled by Shinji. Luckily, NERV hospital staff separate the two and Shinji is led out as he angrily screams that he hates Asuka and wishes that they should never have met. Asuka breaks down crying over this and is traumatized by what he said to her."
This is also not right, I have the physical copy of the Manga and it was Asuka that strangled Shinji, not the other way around. And Asuka was the one who said she hates everyone, not just him.
