Type 3 Kiryū (Kai) EVA Unit-02 Color Ver. (3式機龍 (改) エヴァ2号機カラーVer.^?) is a mecha in the Godzilla vs Evangelion collaboration series. It was based on the Mechagodzilla Type 3 (Kai) featured in the film Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.^WP. It uses the colors of the Evangelion Production Model-02.^[1]

On 01 June 2016, it was announced by Bandai that a 32 cm toy named Godzilla vs Evangellion Toho 30cm series Godzilla Type 3 Kiryū Heavy Arms 2003 Edition: EVA-02 Color (ゴジラ対エヴァンゲリオン東宝30cmシリーズ 3式機龍(2003版)重武装型エヴァ2号機イメージカラー^?)^[2] would be released in November 2016, costing 29,160 yen (tax included).^[3]

An exclusive PS, ABS, PVC plastic model with a total height of 240mm made by Aoshima named [EVA GLOBAL] Godzilla vs. Evangelion Type 3 Kiryū (Kai) EVA Unit-01 Color Ver. Plastic Model (【EVA GLOBAL】ゴジラ対エヴァンゲリオン 3式機龍 (改) エヴァ2号機カラーVer. プラモデル^?) was sold at EVA GLOBAL store. It was announced on 21 September 2021 to be sold in June 2022. It was initially set at the price of 13,500 yen (tax excluded).^[4]

It was featured in the game Godzilla Battle Line on the Godzilla X EVA: Tokyo Battle event on 17 March 2023 as a skin to Type 3 Kiryū (Kai).

On 23 December 2023, it was also featured as part of the [PC11] BS Premium Card Set Godzilla vs Evangelion in the Battle Spirits collaboration.^[5]

Movie Monster Series Kiryū Type 3 (2003) 00

On April 2024, it was announced by Bandai, that a soft vinyl PVC figure (165mm x W approx. 105mm x D approx. 185mm) named Movie Monster Series Kiryū Type 3 (2003) Heavily Armed EVA Unit-02 Image Color Ver. (ムービーモンスターシリーズ３式機龍(2003)重武装型エヴァ２号機イメージカラーver.^?) Was going to be sold for 4,950 yen. The release date is in September 2024.^[6]^[7]
