'''Disgust against Yui and her manipulation of others'''

I've finished with the manga, and it just makes me more disgusted with Yui. Everyone says she's a good person, but that's just stretching what's known about her a little too much.

I mean, look at the cons more than the pros: She left Shinji alone, made him watch the contact experiment, which traumatized him, didn't tell Gendo what she was planning, did nothing when Toji was either harmed or murdered (depending on which version of the franchise you prefer), and not once, not once when things got difficult for Shinji and company, did she do anything to remedy the trouble they were dealing with; she just stood by in the Eva and let everything go to Hell until Instrumentality, which didn't need to happen, happened.

It's only fanfiction stories that involve her that take her secrets to different extremes.

It's only my opinion, but Yui isn't as good as some people make her out as. What kind of mother leaves her child behind and say that she's always been with them? What kind of parent expects too much from their child/children when they're still very young to recall memories after a trauma so powerful that it damages them? What kind of person does what he or she does and in the end, never comes back to be their family?

Disgust against Yui and her manipulation of others
