Name problem[]

What species are Shinji, Asuka and Mari as of 3.0?[]
According to TVTropes, since Shinji, Asuka and Mari are no longer human as of the third film, what are they now? —Preceding unsigned comment added by VJF&RMF (talk • contribs)
As far as i remember (and if the translation i saw was right), nowhere was stated that they are no longer human. It was implied that something happened to Asuka and possibly Mari, the so-called curse of Eva, but further information about that hasn't been provided. So far we only know for sure that they no longer age and Asuka has a glowing eye-patch. Everything beyond that would be speculation. :/ ~The Maverick 013 07:38, February 8, 2014 (UTC)
- Actually, Asuka could be partly an Angel, as her patch has Angel-sealing glyphs on it. HPZ - O.N.E. (talk) 18:00, February 8, 2014 (UTC)
