Takeshi Honda

Takeshi Honda

Takeshi Honda (本田 雄, Honda Takeshi?), born March 12, 1968, is a Japanese animator, illustrator, designer, and animation director. Honda has joined the GAINAX studio after dropping out of Tokyo Design Academy. Honda adapted the original mecha designs to fit animation in Neon Genesis Evangelion and also the Rebuild of Evangelion, where he also adapted character designs, taking over Yoshiyuki Sadamoto in the last two films of the series. He is also a prolific illustrator, making illustrations to magazines, calendars, merchandising and collaborations.
