Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon A Time

Kensuke and Shinji visit one of the KREDIT's outside labs while it experiments with the Sealling Pillar technology. There, Kensuke says that he wants Shinji to meet someone, there they meet each other, Kaji asks Kensuke if Shinji is his new assistant and says that he never met an outsider and then he offers a handshake. Next scene it is already nightfall and Shinji wonder about his name. Kensuke tells him that he is indeed the son of Misato and Kaji, but he doesn't know about them. This was her decision as she believes that she wouldn't be a good mother so she decided to stay away and protect him as head of WILLE. At some point, Shinji and Kaji have their photograph taken smiling with each other.
