Rebuild of EVANGELION: 2.02 is a video included in the home video release of Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. It was released on 26 May 2010. The video shows the evolution of the process of the film with a few step-by-step looks and comparisons between the animatics and the final product. The use of 3D animation in the settings of Evangelion Units, Angels and settings is also highlighted in this video. The video was also published for free in the EVA-EXTRA app.

- Officially, this is the only use of the term Rebuild of Evangelion since the announcement of the film series project back in 2006, when Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition had the name REBUILD OF EVANGELION（Working Title). The term Rebuild of EVANGELION would still be used in the making-of bonus features of 1.0 and 3.0.
- It is possible to see the early design of Evangelion Provisional Unit-05 with its earlier colors and different spear design.
- There was multiple different death reactions for the Eighth Angel.
- There was a scene of color testing where Shinji Ikari is colored in Rei and her plugsuit colors and one where Rei is colored with Shinji's colors.
