Rebuild of EVANGELION: 1.01 is a video included in the home video release of Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone. It was released on 21 May 2008, with the first DVD version (1.01). The video shows the evolution of the process of the film with a few step-by-step looks and comparisons between the animatics and the final product. The use of 3D animation in the settings of Tokyo-3 and the Evangelion Units is also highlighted in this video. The video was also published for free in the EVA-EXTRA app.

Trivia[]
- Officially, this is the only use of the term Rebuild of Evangelion since the announcement of the film series project back in 2006, when Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition had the name REBUILD OF EVANGELION（Working Title). The term Rebuild of EVANGELION would still be used in the making-of bonus features of 2.0 and 3.0.
- Mari Makinami Illustrious was wearing the same clothes as the ones in her first appearance in Petit Eva: EVANGELION@GAME.
