NERV Disaster Prevention App

NERV Disaster Prevention App (特務機関NERV防災アプリ(とくむきかんネルフぼうさいアプリ)^?) is a free smartphone app created by Gehirn Inc., inspired on the Evangelion series. It provides early warnings of earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and emergency warnings, as well as disaster prevention weather information such as floods and landslides.

The NERV Disaster Prevention app delivers real-time alerts for earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, severe weather risks like landslides and floods, and more, all tailored to your location. Designed to help you accurately recognise a dangerous situation where damage is expected to occur, so you can quickly act to ensure your safety.

Utilising data from the Japan Meteorological Agency and using our cutting-edge in-house disaster information distribution system enables us to provide the fastest and most reliable information in the country.^[1]

Around the time of the Great East Japan Earthquake^WP (2011), in response to complaints that the company was infringing on the copyright of the Evangelion franchise, the company obtained "official but unofficial" permission to use the "Special Agency NERV" name and logo from Groundworks Co., ltd., the company that manages the copyright of the Evangelion series.
