Makoto Hyuga (日向マコト, Hyūga Makoto?) is a fictional character from the Rebuild of Evangelion film series. He is a First Lieutenant at NERV and one of the three main computer technicians directly serving under Commanders Ikari and Fuyutsuki in the command post of Central Dogma, the others being Shigeru Aoba and Maya Ibuki.

Profile[]

Hyuga is a highly skilled technician when working at his post. After 14 years since Near Third Impact, he looks older in person and his hairline is shown to have been receded.

History[]

Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone[]

In the first two Rebuild of Evangelion movies, the story of Hyuga is the same as the original series.

Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance[]

He does not have a crush or romantic feelings for Misato like in NGE.

Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo[]

In Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo Hyuga is now a member of WILLE, fighting NERV alongside his colleagues under the command of Misato Katsuragi aboard the AAA Wunder. He manifests a grudge against Shinji the first time he sees him after the fourteen years timeskip following the Near Third Impact, probably under the influence of Misato.
