Lieutenant Colonel Clausewitz

Lieutenant Colonel Clausewitz is a fictional character from the Neon Genesis Evangelion: ANIMA novel.

Profile[]

He is the NERV Germany commander. He was the direct commission officer with the Euro Sixth Rapid Response Unit under Hartmann’s command.^[1] He has a direct assistant under his command. He usually is inside the Heurtebise's control airplane commanding the operation.

He uses every opportunity during combat to gather information, sometimes choosing to use conventional weapons to see the effect on the enemy and then reorganize his strategies. He acts in a supportive manner towards Hikari when she isn't being controled. He promised Hikari to release her from the dummy plug control, however he couldn't completely turn it off since it would allow the Q.R. Signum takes over Hikari's psyche. So he ordered it to be still be on in a lower setting, protecting her from the effects caused by the Q.R. Signum.^[2]
