Kaworu's Coffins are a set of coffins present on the Moon from the Rebuild of Evangelion film series.
History[]
Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone[]
They first appear in Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, after the Sixth Angel was defeated when Kaworu appears and chats with one of the SEELE members.
Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon A Time[]
In Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon A Time, it is revealed that Kaworu is trapped in an endless cycle and is reborn after each death while keeping his memories of his previous lives in one of Evangelion's different series. During the Human Instrumentality, he is shown coming out of one of the coffins and looking at all the others.
