Human is a term in the Evangelion universe that may or may not be the Homo Sapian species. There are several different versions of the word "Human".
First Ancestral Race: Proto-humans
FAR is the creators of Adam and Lilith and indirectly the Angels and Lilin. However there were 7 seeds of life which means there are other "Human" species in the galaxy.
Seeds of Life:
- Adam- A fruit of life based "Human" and mother of the angels
- Lilith- A fruit of knowledge base "Human" and mother of the Homo Sapian species
Evangelions:
- The Eva's are copies of the seeds of life who are supposed to combat the angels but their true function is to start Third Impact.
Angels- Humans with the fruit of life

The angels are humans born with the fruit of life and they attacked Tokyo-3 in attempts to merge with Lilith to cause Third Impact. The angels are Gods compared to the Lilin
Lilin- Humans with the Fruit of Knowledge

The Lilin are humans born with the fruit of knowledge which allows superior intelligence in this version of humanity. Some of the Lilin do cause the Third Impact to end lonliness.
