The UN Heavy Fighter Jet VTOL (UN重戦闘機(VTOL)?) is a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft that appears in Neon Genesis Evangelion and The End of Evangelion.

The Heavy Fighter JET VTOL is a gray/green colored jet powered VTOL aircraft seen in use by NERV, the JSSDF, and the UN. The aircraft mainly uses two jet engines on either side of the aircrafts wings to quickly maneuver or hover, with smaller jet engines embedded on either side of the aircrafts tail. The most common variant seen is the UN version, which has a gray color scheme with orange and blue accents, along with orange tinted glass for the pilot canopy. The NERV version has the NERV emblem painted on the side, in place of the UN symbol, and seems to have an extended canopy and more storage space. On the underside of the aircraft's wings are hardpoints for attaching weaponry or equipment, they are most commonly seen carrying rocket pods. The gear for the aircraft is carried in skinny, elongated pods on either side of the craft with blue highlights. Small domes appear on either side of the aircraft, which most likely serve as radars, or some form of communication equipment. There appears to be a pitot tube placed between the two pilot canopies, along with air intakes on the side of the craft, possibly for assisted forward movement. A small antenna can be seen just before the tail of the aircraft.

The Heavy Fighter JET VTOL first appeared in Episode:01, assaulting Sachiel with their rockets. It appears numerous times throughout the rest of the anime series. In The End of Evangelion the JSSDF version appears, which is coated in an olive drab camouflage.
