Template:Info Evangelion Unit 08 (Hachigōki, 8号機?) was first shown taking part in some unknown test along with its unseen pilot in the teaser trailer for Evangelion 3.0 attached at the end of Evangelion 2.0, its next animated appearance being at the theatrical trailer of Evangelion 3.0. More information about Unit-08 remains unknown.
Appearance
In terms of appearance it seems similar to most Evangelions in basic body shape, although only the top half of it is seen.
It does, however, have some noticeable differences, with the most obvious being its head. In the first trailer, the head was similar to the helmet of a suit of armor with a bright pink glowing visor and had a single horn, similar to those on Units 01 and 06. It sported black and grey armor.
In a sketch revealed by Hideaki Anno, Unit-08's head design showed considerable differences, including the lack of the previously displayed horn and its visor being changed into multiple minor pieces or segments. It also beared the designation of Eva:08 Alpha.
The theatrical trailer revealed the Eva's color scheme, being now pink in color, similar to Mari's second plugsuit, the multiple eyes display a neon green glowing. During this trailer, Evangelion Unit-08 can be seen holding an as of yet unknow weapon.
