Neon Genesis Evangelion: Battle Orchestra (新世紀エヴァンゲリオン バトルオーケストラ Shin Seiki Evangerion Batoru Okesutora?) est un jeu vidéo de la franchise Evangelion sorti sur PlayStation 2 en 2007. Le jeu connaît une réédition en 2009 sur PlayStation Portable sous le tire Neon Genesis Evangelion: Battle Orchestra PORTABLE (新世紀エヴァンゲリオン バトルオーケストラ PORTABLE Shin Seiki Evangerion Batoru Okesutora PORTABLE?).
Vue d'ensemble
Le jeu est un side-scroller 2D avec des personnages, des décors et des environnements réalisés en 3D. Beaucoup de personnages sont jouables parmi les Evangelions mais également les Anges. Le mode Rumble permet d'affronter jusqu'à trois adversaires à la fois. La version PlayStation 2 permet de brancher jusqu'à quatre manettes tandis que la version PlayStation Portable utilise la connexion sans fil. Un mode Endless et un mode Entraînement sont également disponible en plus d'un mode Story. Ce dernier comprend six histoires différentes pour Shinji Ikari, Asuka Langley Sohryu, Tōji Suzuhara, Kensuke Aida (en tant que pilote de l'Evangelion Unité-04), Rei Ayanami et Kaworu Nagisa. Chaque histoire correspond en réalité à un niveau de difficulté différent et chaque histoire possède sa propre fin. En plus d'être une réédition du jeu sur PlayStation Portable, le jeu propose de nouveaux contenus ainsi qu'un mode Missions. Il consiste en une série de 100 objectifs différents. La plupart consiste à vaincre les Anges en complétant certaines conditions ou avec des contraintes particulières. La version PlayStation Portable s'est vendu à 7 082 exemplaires la semaine de sa sortie au Japon.
