Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance

Hi, I watched the Evangelion TV show, The End of Evangelion, and the Rebuild of Evangelion series and I'm confused about something. Why are the impacts different in the Rebuild of Evangelion films than in The End of Evangelion? Why does almost everyone explode into LCL in The End of Evangelion but not in the Rebuilds (with the exception of Fuyutsuki in Thrice Upon a Time)? Why was the near-third impact able to be stopped in the Rebuild series but unable to be stopped in The End of Evangelion? Am I missing something? Someone, please make it all make sense. (Try to keep it simple, I'm honestly kind of stupid,)

5. Don't make Asuka a clone

One of the best parts about Asuka in the original was that she wasn't merely a generic tsundere girl, she had a justification as to why she behaved like that and all. In Rebuilds, she is just angry at Shinji all the time, even before Bardiel accident. You could make her like in Rebuild fanfic a clone of Kyoko's dead daughter and it would have been much better that way.

4. Don't make Mari an immortal pedo:

Seriously, why does every relationship in the Rebuild have to carry some unnecessary dark implications? Why does she have to be as old as Yui and/or Gendo? Why can't she be just a normal girl?

3. Actually give 3.0 a plot:

Simply put, You Can (Not) Redo is pointless two hours of a montage where Shinji just sits around looking depressed, while Kaworu shows up from time to time to tell some cryptic nonsense. Oh, and it's entire point is negated by the subsequent movie anyway.

2. Actually make fights compelling after Tenth Angel:

Already existing fights from original surely improvement in terms of both choreography and visuals, especially with Ramiel, Sahaquiel and Zeruel. But after that, fight scenes just became Bayformers-sque mess of bright flashes, sparks, explosions and unfocused camera. None of them feel as good as Mass Production Eva fight and none come anywhere near close to being plot-significant.

1. Remove the idiotic "Curse of Eva" thing:

Wouldn't 3.0 be so much more alienatic and foreign to audiences if original cast of pilots (sans Shinji and Kaworu) became full-grown adults? Hell, Asuka could even be a new WILLE commander after Misato's retirement. You could introduce a whole new cast of pilots, all whom spite Shinji and want nothing to do with him. Anno said in once that he wanted to convey Eva's message with different characters and make Evangelion more "sentai-like" in After the End, didn't he?
