En el anime se publicaron álbumes con música de fondo, compuesta por Shiro Sagisu. Uno de los puntos a destacar de la banda sonora es el tema de apertura de la serie, Zankoku na Tenshi no Teeze, obra de Neko Oikawa, Hidetoshi Satou y Yoko Takahashi. Igualmente famoso es su tema de cierre, Fly Me To The Moon, que cuenta con diferentes versiones y es interpretado por Yuko Miyamura y Megumi Hayashibara, así como por Utada Hikaru en Rebuild of Evangelion.
